fauxaroid thursday is back!  please come link up below!  this week i went a bit crazy.  i kind of fauxlaroided a crap ton of pictures the other night.  sometimes it's just my favorite thing to do.  anywho....

for this week's fauxlaroid thursday i pulled an oldie out of the archives.  this is from our first disney trip.  this is my all time favoriteist pic of lisa.  isn't she beautiful?  those eyes just melt me.  :)

i skipped fauxlaroid thursday last week.  sorry y'all.  please don't let that stop you from linking up this week!

in case you don't know, i'm rather obsessed with polaroids.  everything on here used to be polaroids or fauxlaroids if you will.  i changed my header out a few weeks ago but i'm sure the fauxlaroids will be back!

i use instant (an imac app) and poladroid (free software you can dl to your comp) to make my fauxlaroids.  sometimes i also use Shakeit (an app on my iphone).  you can make your fauxlaroid however you would like.  just make sure to enter it through the inlikz link down below.  at the end of the month i'm giving away a cute camera plate to my favorite entry. 

these are from last christmas. izz loved this zoo toy set she got from lisa's mom. i took these pics thinking they'd make a great set. i loved them even more when i fauxlaroided them! :)

{fauxlaroid thursday....9/13}

good morning y'all!  today is thursday and you know what that means, fauxlaroid thursday!  i have a few fauxlaroids for you today.  the first one i made on my iphone with an app called "shakeit".  as much as i am in love with polaroids, i often forget about this app.  it's a good one though.  i actually used many apps in todays pic.  first i used "camera +" to take the pic, "vsco cam" to edit it, then pic frame to put them together and put the label on and lastly "shakeit".

i actually don't love how it came out. there's too much going on and too much editing. does that sound normal? lol. but it just goes to show you that they aren't always perfect, so don't give up. :)

i also made these with the "shakeit" app.

{8-30-2012...fauxlaroid thursday}

this week's fauxlaroid thursday is also a pic i uploaded for august break.  this picture is from not this past easter, but the one before.  don't they all look so tiny?  and ian, omg.  so stinkin' cute.  the best part of this pic, isobel.  does she look thrilled or what????!  lol.

i love changing old pics into fauxlaroids because i feel like it helps make them new again.  also, the processing is different on them than the original so you know.  that helps make it feel new too.

i'm thinking about giving away a cute little prize to the best link up for fauxlaroid thursday each week.  i don't want to bribe y'all, but i also really want people to link up with me!  what would you do?

{fauxlaroid thursday...8-16}

hey guys!  i'm scheduling this ahead of time since today we are in NH.  i hope y'all link up today!  :)

today i'm going to share to fauxlaroids that i made using the poladroid software.  these are from the last trip we took to NH two years ago.  we went up to north conway.  one of my favorite places in the whole wide world.  the first is a river along the kangamangus highway.  it was a bit dry this year.  the second is a covered bridge along the same highway.  i LOVE covered bridges.  omg.  so pretty.  i can't wait to share pics with you from our new trip.  have a great week y'all!  :)

{fauxlaroid thursday - 8/9/2012}

hey y'all!  this is the third installment of fauxlaroid thursday.  thanks to the lovely ladies who linked up last week with me!

this month you're seeing lots of fauxlaroids.  at least one each day actually.  this is because i'm participating in the august break and what is an august break if you're not taking a break?  so i made up a bunch of fauxlaroids and scheduled them as posts for each day.

today's fauxlaroid is a pic of cinderella's castle from our most recent disney trip. i can't get enough or take enough pics of this castle. it's just gorgeous. it's really really hard to take a bad picture of it.

{fauxlaroid thursday...8-2-2012}

this is the second installment of fauxlaroid thursday.  hopefully this week some y'all will link up with me?  pretty please???  :)

{last week} i showed you what apps/software you could download to make your own fauxlaroids.

this week i want to show you another fauxlaroid trick.  this week i've dropped one of my iphone pics into instant and developed it.  this pic was taken using the hipstamatic app.  {my fave pic app by far}.  this is my love in NH at a little breakfast place.  isn't she cute?!

it's so easy and i think the result is pretty darn awesomesauce. 

 

{fauxlaroid thursday}

y'all.  {i'm not even sure why i say y'all cause i am not southern.  however i have always dreamed of having an accent}  but anyways, y'all.  i want to start a linky party.  i need your help.   it's gonna be super cool.  promise!

i love polaroids.  who doesn't?  well i have two awesome ways to take a picture you took with any camera {dslr, point and shoot, phone} and make it into a "fauxlaroid" polaroid picture.  so download some software and let's get partying!

the first one i want to tell you about is free.  it's called {poladroid}.  you can download the software for free and then you literally drag and drop up to 10 pictures at a time into it.

here is a pic of it in action on my screen.

a couple of tips. make sure to go into the settings and look around. there are some things you can change to change the look of your photo.

i love poladroid cause it's fun and free. i don't like the limitations that it has. for example not being able to move the photo inside the poladroid and not being able to change the colors of it.

my next suggestion is instant by apple. it's an app for your mac and it's pricey. i think i paid 9.99 but let me tell you, best 9.99 i may have ever spent. maybe.

i love instant because there are over 30 different filters you can choose from and you can move the picture to choose what portion of it gets polaroided. yes that's a word. yes i just made it up.

i'm going to show you a couple of examples of what i like about each this week to give you an idea of each program. one poladroid and one instant.

the poladroid is on the left and the instant on the right....

in this example, instant won hands down. in poladroid, it cut my head off. :)

in this example i kind of like poladroid better. i like how it cropped it better than i did in instant and the tones are more polaroidish to me. make sense?
