This week we finally accomplished something on our summer Bucket List. We made S'mores outside. Except we didn't. We toasted marshmallows though! No chocolate cause the girls don't eat or drink anything with milk in it. I'm cheating and using these as our final installment of Living in the Moment as well. I can't believe it's been a year already. I will link to all the other months below.
I truly did live in the moment during these pics. They aren't perfect. Far from it. I even turned on my ON CAMERA FLASH. The horror! I know! But it was so much fun and the marshmallows were delicious especially the on fire ones. ;)
This year was a great experience for me. It taught me to not care if there was too much grain and blur in my photos. To not make my kid change his black socks and boat shoes. It reminded me that the bikes and yoga mats could stay in the background. And most importantly that the little one can be grumpy if she wants to be. It's all about what's going on in that moment. Thank you so much to Jude for including me on this wonderful journey.
Please go check out Susan's post for this month.

And then this is July. :)
Oh Angela, beautiful photos! Really, really nice and a great memory you've captured. We never do s'mores in the summer here because it's too, too hot, but it's been cooler this summer, so now I'm wondering if we should...
ReplyDeleteAnd who needs the chocolate? The marshmallows are the best part anyway!
This is what it's all about, Angela! And I second the motion for no chocolate in my s'mores. Burnt marshmallows all the way, baby!
ReplyDeleteI think these did come out perfect. These photos show a family that loves each other and spends quality time together. I do however not agree with the no chocolate part. You can keep the marshmallows, I'm a chocolate chick :)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your living in the moment pictures! You are such a talented photographer. We purchased a "fancy" camera a year ago and I have yet to learn how to use it... I tried bringing it along for the 4th of July but ended up getting frustrated a using my iphone instead. Fail. ;)
