{Black Friday}

How was your BF? Did you go out and shop? Did you wait in line somewhere for hours for a crappy tv? lol. I worked. For those of you that may not know, I work security at Target. My store didn't open until 1AM due to some old Blue Laws on the book in my state so I reported to work at 12:01 AM.

I worked the line outside and gave them all the rules and whatnot. It's called Crowd Control. Every single Target store has to put a very detailed plan in place about how they are going to keep everyone safe. We do not want incidents like that other big box retailer. Eh hem. We really do put everyone's safety over the sales. In fact, if you're acting unsafe, you leave and do not purchase whatever you came in for. Period.

My team got 567 people into the building safely at opening without a single incident. So with all these BF horror stories, please know that it is in fact safe to shop at some stores. I don't know why you'd want to wait in line in the freezing cold for ten plus hours to save a couple of hundred bucks on a tv, but so be it. ;)



P.S. I did make it through all of nablopomo. I definitely cheated a bit and back scheduled things, but the point is I wrote something for everyday in November. I'm hoping this will get me back into my blogging groove.

{Date Night}

Lisa and I had a date night on Monday. We went to Isaacs a restaurant in Plymouth that had been on Lisa's bucket list for a while. We got dressed up all fancy and had a wonderful dinner. There's really nothing like spending time with her. She's the best company anyone could ever hope for.

She just loves when I take mirror shots of us. lol.


When we got home I tried out the self timer app I had downloaded that day. It was hilarious and a lot of fun. Those things are tricky!

{I Am Strong}

Guys, pardon my language but after my work out on Friday night, I feel so fucking strong. It was our Friday night with the kids so they sat and played with their Leapsters in the gym with Lisa while she played volleyball and I ran. I've been doing pretty good with my training for the Princess 5K. I've run a little longer and a little more each time.

This week I stretched, walked for ten minutes on the treadmill as a warm up and then hit reset. I wanted a truer idea of what my pace time was without the warm up. So after I restarted the treadmill I started running. And I never fucking stopped. Seriously. I fast shuffled for an entire hour. The only reason why I stopped is because the treadmill starts over at an hour and the kids were waiting for dinner. Also, I ran 3.58 miles which is by far my longest distance as well.

When I hit that hour, I could have cried. I felt so fucking strong. I loved my body. I love my body. Extra weight and all. I am amazing. My body is doing amazing things for me. Things I never thought possible.

I am not at all worried about my pace time now. I know I'll be fine. I'll be more than fine. Am I going to be at my goal weight? Probably not. Am I going to run a 12 minute mile? Definitely not. But you know what, I'm doing pretty damn awesome for where I am.

I can honestly say for the first time ever that I don't get on the scale every single day. Just almost. But this is huge for me. And I don't do it because it doesn't matter. The only numbers that matter to me right now are miles. I'm happy with my body. I'm even happy with my weight. I'm ecstatic with my legs and where they're taking me.

{My Love}

My love for this woman runs deep. Deeper than I ever thought was possible. She completes me in every way. We compliment each other in a way I've never seen before. It's truly like we were meant for each other. Neither one of us have ever been happier than we are together.

This was the longest I had run a few days ago.  Not anymore!  Today I ran for an hour.  :)

Came into work last week to find these signs up.  Thank goodness for Blue laws in MA.  Otherwise I'd be working on Thanksgiving instead of at Midnight.  That's a huge difference.  NOT!  Seriously, I'm not even going to get started.


This one.  Last night she passed out on the couch.  She was asleep for maybe two minutes when Lisa work her and told her to come over to her in the chair NEXT to the couch.  She just kind of flopped down to the floor and passed out.


Ian found my hat.  He wore it all day yesterday.  Whenever he had to put his coat on, he would take the hat off, put the coat and hood on and put the hat right on top of the hood.  When he got ready for bed he put it back on and asked me to take a picture of his "outfit".  total cuteness.


Chloe looks very cute in the hat.  When I asked her what was up with her tongue in this picture, she replied with "What are you talking about?"


These look super intriguing.  Someone try them and tell me how they are.


My babe was helping me stretch after my run on Wednesday.  She's just too cute.


Am I the only one that takes picture of cute book covers so I remember about them when it's time to download a new book?


This is kind of old but my friend Shelby left Target after many many years.  This was her going away dinner.  :)

I think these are adorable and asked Lisa if we could take a family pic with them.  She said "No".  She's funny thinking she has a choice or say just cause I asked.


Did anyone watch Master Chef Junior?  Dara was one of the finalists and she always wore these headbands with huge bows on them.  Izz saw this one and was very excited to be able to look like her.  She picked the red over the pink because it "matched her outfit".  We're gonna be in trouble with this one.

Mommy, this ham is gross. Please don't buy it again. I guess she doesn't like it. lol.

{Asthma}

Our littlest boy wasn't feeling well last week. He had quite the cough and a low grade fever. Unfortunately we had to bust out the Moo Cow. {Nebulizer}. We are very fortunate that this is really the worst of our illnesses in this house. Asthma. All three smaller kids inherited this very lucky disease. But fortunately, none have it as bad as I did when I was a kid. Plus, they actually don't mind doing the breathing treatments when needed, so that's a plus.







He only needed a couple of treatments over a couple of days and is feeling much better now.
