{the way i view new beginnings}

this year i've taken on a 366 project but i've also joined a 12 month project over at {clickinmoms}.  it's called "the way i view......}.  each month will have a different theme.  we were then broken up into groups and will link to each other in our group.  cool huh?

so this month, new beginnings.  i've had a lot of new beginnings in the last couple of years.  but i'm embarking on a new one this year so this theme is perfect.  :)

the way i view new beginnings is this....

IMG_3820

yes, that's my weight.  out there for the world {or the few people who look at this} to see.  do you have any idea how freakin' scary the idea of posting a picture of my weight is?????  i'm sure some of you do.  but you know what, this is it.  that number is going down and it's going to stay down.  i want to be healthy.  i could care less about the number on the scale.  truly.  i want to be able to run around with my kids and buy cute jeans.  if i can do that at 226, 180, or 400 it doesn't matter to me as long as i feel good about myself.  right now i don't and i hate it.  i've always been a bigger girl and i've always been super confident anyways.  that confidence is lost right now.  i'm going to find it.

new beginnings....

do me a solid and check out {Natalia} interpretation of new beginnings.  :)

oh btw, it's my birthday so that's a whole new beginning too.  welcome to 32.....

  1. Huge HUGE hugs for being SO brave! You're right, the number on the scale doesn't matter - how you FEEL matters! I'll be right there with you, watching my numbers drop and cheering you on as your numbers plummet!

    PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

  5. Oh Angela, I just love you! I love how you are so open with your audience and so real and authentic. My number is very close to yours and I am having some serious health issues... yet I find myself reaching for the ice cream more often than not. I'd love for you to keep sharing what you find motivating and where you stumble. I LOVE this photo. Good luck and Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. What a brave and wonderful way to celebrate your birthday! I don't know you, but I'm proud to know you! I'm struggling with weight loss issues right now too. Chronic headaches make exercise difficult, so I'm trying extra hard to make good food choices.

    I think you're SO smart to make the goal not about the number but about health and happiness (and of course cute jeans!). I'm right here with you baby, cheering you on! Slogging along beside you too! xo
