{life lately}

life lately has been crazy. lots of bad stuff. lots of good stuff. you've gotta take the good with bad, right?! anyways i do have some stuff typed up in the drafts here but for now, instagrams! yay!

{Turn on the Light}

There will always be darkness in life waiting there in the wings to drag you down. You just have to remember to focus on the light and the darkness doesn't seem quite so dark anymore.

{Snuggle Wuggles}

Our babe is going to be five next month.  Does that mean she's not quite a babe anymore??  As we were cuddling this morning, or snuggle wuggles as we've started calling it, it hit me.  "It" being the fact that she won't want to cuddle with me soon.  She's growing up.  Sure the other kids still snuggle with me but it's not a daily need like it is for her.  Soon she won't be small enough to curl up on me.  She won't be able to sit on my lap when I'm at the computer and rest her chin on my shoulder to watch TV.  She'll just physically be too big.  Soon she won't want to pretend that she's my baby kitty and that I'm her mommy kitty.  She won't nuzzle my face with her cheek and Meow.  My heart breaks for that day but at the same time, I'm excited to see the big girl that she's becoming.

For now, I'm going to snuggle wuggle as much as I can.

Insta-Friday (7/18/14}

It seems like once every couple of month I post what we've been doing lately with a few Instagram pics.  But you know what?  That's all I've got right now.  So here's what we've been doing lately.

#dailystatuepose started last summer.  I believe.  Every time we leave the house they stop and "pose" for me.  It's epically perfect.

Lately….

This cute kid turned nine this week.  :)


I just truly wrapped my head around the Starbucks rewards and now I feel like a shmuck for not doing it sooner.


I cut down some of my favorite flowers this week.  Shhhhhh don't tell whoever they belonged to.


The Mommy Shorts blog was giving away Olympus cameras to  mom that took selfless with their kids a couple of weeks ago.  This was an outtake.  My arm isn't long enough to fit all of us.  ;)


When you don't have a hair tie, a pen will do.

This is the best thing ever.  This is my friend Eddie in some sort of eating contest.  It's up at a local restaurant on their "wall of fame".  My other friend saw it and sent it to me.  It makes me happy.

This book was amazing. I honestly downloaded the trial of the book from Kindle because of the cover. I totally judge books by their covers. But this book was touching. I don't even have the words to describe to you how much I loved it. This is a book that will be read more than once and that doesn't happen often. Maybe even just Harry Potter. Trust me. Read it. Tell me what you think.

{Holding Hands}

The other day while at the bus stop, Ian helped Chloe walk on a board type thing. He held her hand to help her balance. This is such a rare occurence! They held hands. In public! So glad I caught it on "film". ;)
