{i love me some cupcakes}

{still on my florida vacation with my love so you get some random scheduled posts to hold you over!}

obviously.  but i haven't had one in so long.  the last two i had were from cupcake charlies.  chocolate caramel sea salt and raspberry lime rickey.  both were ehhhhhhh.  nothing i'd run over there for.  not like the epic banana's foster cupcake.  but they were tasty.  :)

and by not good, i mean this is frickin' fantastic!!!!!!!  if you're a common reader here, you may understand my love for Crumbs.  or not! i just looked through my posts to link some up and there's nothing about crumbs. boo. well, when lisa and i planned our new york trip, it was sort of kind of planned around cupcakes. crumbs was on our list. we fell head over heals in love with their coconut cupcake. it is perfection in a paper cup. they beat out my local favorite of cupcake charlies by a landslide! no competition at all. so when we went to atlantic city, we made sure to map out a crumbs on the way home. it did not disappoint.

the only thing saving our waistlines is that they were so far away. sure we could have them shipped, but we're not THAT obsessed. so you can imagine my excitement and utter fear when i found out that opened one in boston. even more so that they are offering BOGO until the end of march. i'm sure i'll be posting some pics soon. ;)

I've started a new common post called "it's just plain awesomesauce"! i see stuff {mostly at target cause i spend ALL of my life there} all the time that just rocks. so now, i'm going to smush it all on you!

this installment consists of the best pillow ever!  how can you make anything better?  add a cupcake theme to it.  i did resist in buying this cupcake pillow because really, i don't need it.  but i wanted it sooooooooooooooo bad!

OMG! I've died and gone to cupcake heaven....

OMG!  aren't these the most yummy looking things ever?  they are two of my food addictions rolled into one.  now, who wants to bake them for me?  ;)


btw...they are a coffee flavored cake filled with coffee mousse and homemade caramel sauce, and topped with swiss meringue buttercream drizzled with caramel.

it's those darn cupcakes again.

we love us some cupcake charlie's...it's no secret.  a few weekends ago we went and saw Cars 2 and then got cupcakes.  isobel and i loved the first half of Cars 2.  lol.  it was her first movie and she did very well.  i didn't mind having to take her out of the theater.  then lisa and the kids enjoyed the whole movie.  while i was in the parking lot with izz, that pesky cupcake charlie's fod (flavor of the day) post came into my fb newsfeed.  well the fod in mashpee was bananas foster.  whuck???  omg.  i n.e.e.d.e.d. one.  thankfully lisa is very understanding of my fat girl tendencies and humors me always.  so we were off.  prepare yourself for some of the yummiest looking cupcakes ever.  :)


here is a shot of my bananas foster cupcake. i was longing for this cupcake because i LOVE bananas foster. i remember visiting my family in oregon with my mom when i was 15. we travelled down the oregon coast to the oregon aquarium. that night, we were at the hotel and i got asked if i wanted to go to dinner with the adults. ummmmmm yeah. food. so i went and for desert i got bananas foster. they came over to the table and made it in front of me. fire and all. it was to this day the most delicious thing i've ever eaten. so this cupcake, brought me right back and it was deliciously awesome.

Cupcake Charlie's

My favorite all time cupcake store (maybe because it's the only one i've been to) is cupcake charlie's. their cupcakes are super yummy and super pretty. here are some of my favorites.




this is the orange dreamsicle. :) it has the yummiest cream inside of it. so good!




this is the lemon. the flavor is so light and fluffy. huge favorite!




and finally, the funfetti. this one is for lisa. funfetti is her all time favorite cupcake/cake ever.
