{Fireworks 2013}

So here's the thing, last year I used the 300mm to photograph our town fireworks and nothing else. This year I was being smaht and packed ONLY the 300mm. Wouldn't you know we were too damn close this year. Oh well. Here's what I got.





















I zoomed the lens all the way out and put the tripod as close to the ground as possible. I never quite got my settings right. My love wasn't there by my side. It was all wrong. Until next year.

{our fourth of july}

i know i'm late.  lol.  i'm having a hard time keeping up with blogging all the awesomesauce stuff we are doing this summer.  we had a great fourth of july.  we went to the parade in plymouth with the kids, john & jess, and my family.  it was raining so i didn't bring my dslr camera and then the rain cleared and it was HOT HOT HOT.  AND there was a person on a unicycle which i needed for my Clickin' Moms Scavenger Hunt but i didn't have my camera or my sign.  boo.

everyone was kind of miserable in the rain waiting for the parade to start.

there was a really neat cruise ship in the harbor.

the bridge is always gorgeous.  i didn't get quite as striking pictures as last year.  it was very hazy and the sunset was ehhhhh compared to last year's. 

no real editing on this.  just brightened it up a bit and sharpened.  :)

onset had their fireworks on july 7?  whatever the sunday after was.  i made this trifle.  so good.  :)  john, jess, will and conner came over for dinner and then we headed down to the fireworks.
