{Ellen Page}

I'm sure most of you have heard that Ellen Page {from Juno} has recently come out as gay. She did so at the Human Rights campaign THRIVE conference benefiting LGBTQ youth.

You can see the video here.

{I'm giving you the video from this new article because all the others I pulled didn't have sound. Even with this one, I had to turn my volume all the way up}

Won't it be nice when someone standing up and professing their sexuality isn't a "thing" anymore? When it's not one of the bravest things someone in the LGBTQ community can do. When they don't have to fear retaliation for being themselves and loving who they love. When our society no longer makes them fear being who they are. I can't wait to see that day.

{Ice Skating}

A few weeks ago we took the kids ice skating. There is a great outdoor rink not too far from here. It was so much fun. I used to love ice skating when I was in Junior High. It was THE cool thing to do on a Friday night. Lisa and I went a few years ago to this same outdoor rink but other than that, I hadn't been ice skating since Junior High.

The kids loved it so much. We only stayed about an hour but an hour was perfect. Then we went to one of my all time favorite Starbucks at the Biltmore in RI.

We did all venture away from the wall eventually. But as hard as it to ice skate with littles pulling on each of your arms, it's damn near impossible to do while taking pictures. ;)

Don't let that pout fool you, she had a great time. She was just cold. Always with the cold.

Bailey really got into it and fell quite a bit. But he kept up getting up and going again. :)

Apparently Ian wanted nothing to do with my picture taking. His apple was far more interesting.

{Hearts}

Lisa started something great this past Christmas. I'm not even sure she knows that it was her doing or not. She put up a ton of the kids old art work from previous Christmas seasons. It made the house look so homey. After it was taken down, I was kind of sad. Then her birthday came and while she was out, the kids and I made a bunch of balloons out of construction paper to decorate for her.

The other night the kids and I made valentines to hang up. It was a ton of fun. Then on Friday while they were at school, I hung them all up. I can't wait for them to come home and see them.

Here's a peak into our home made valentine's decorations....

{Rainbow Loom}

Are your kids as obsessed with the Rainbow Loom as mine? I bought Ian a bag of 600 elastics this weekend and they are already gone. He did make me this nifty necklace for my birthday....

Birthday rainbow loom necklace from my boy. Xoxoxo
{Excuse the crap pic}

They also use YouTube to look up videos on how to make other things. Chloe made me a charm bracelet last month. This week she made Lisa and I a "Mickey Mouse" bracelet to share. How awesome is that??

My babe made a Mickey Mouse rainbow loom bracelet. :)

I love seeing them be creative and crafty. I've resisted temptation of using the thing so far cause I know once I touch it, they'll never get their hands on it. ;)

{My Girls}

Sometimes my girls like to dress up alike. The other day they were all out twins. It was the cutest thing on the face of the planet.

They're twins today.  :)

I will so very much miss when they no longer want to dress alike or even hang out. Cause let's be real, the day will come someday. For now, I will relish in their adorableness.

{Flappy Bird}

Is utterly impossible. Seriously. Whoever invented this game is the ultimate evil genius.

This stupid game.

{Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story}

For those of you that may not know, I am a HUGE Vinylmation fan. I'm so excited for this animated short film coming soon....

{Hair}

I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. I'm one of those girls that will cut it all off and then let it grow out again just to go and chop it off. Well the last time I cut it short, two years or so ago, I HATED it. I swore that I wouldn't ever cut it short again.

No heat curls and lip gloss. It must be date night.

I love my long hair and being able to do "not heat curls"? Perfection. Then I posted a TBT pic of my short hair...

My love and I in disney two years ago. We'll be back soon. Also, this pic *almost* makes me want to cut my hair. #tbt

My caption said that this pic *almost* makes me want to cut my hair again. And that folks, is all it took. I posted that TBT pic on well, Thursday.

And then posted this Friday night...

Oh hey, I went and chopped all my hair off.

Ha! The good news, so far I love it. The bad news, all my pink is gone and I can't do "no heat curls" anymore. Oh well. The pink will be back at some point this week and all will be right with the world again. :)
